InCompass 2007 Review

Happy New Year!

With the close of 2007, I wanted to take this time to thank you for your continued support of InCompass. Over the course of the year we have received many comments and suggestions about our product lines and the resulting feedback has enabled us to continually improve our products and services.

As such, I wanted to take a few moments to recap some of the highlights that have since been incorporated. A full list is available on our website, www.incompass-solutions.com. Additionally, we will continue to send out “from the Support Desk” e-mails and other information to keep you informed about what is available to you throughout 2008.

RTO HB

Trainer Checkout Report
An enhanced version of the Trainer Checkout Report was added to the Transaction Reports menu and is available to all customers. This report shows all owners that have raced a horse with a specific trainer, and their current balance. The Owner/Trainer report was renamed the Horsemen’s Race Repor t. December 6

Held Funds Maintenance
The Held Funds Maintenance module has been enhanced to allow the bookkeeper to mark money on hold as taxable and to defer the tax liability for the held amount until the tax year in which the funds are released and received by the horseman. The amount will be deducted from the taxable earnings in the year the money was held and will be added to the taxable earnings in the year the money is released. April 2

InCompass Financial Services
InCompass Financial Services (IFS) was launched via the HB Account Access website. IFS provides horsemen with secure, anytime-access to their statements, 1099s and available balances. It also offers as a pay-per-use service that allows horsemen to transfer funds from their horseman’s accounts to their personal bank account or accounts at other participating racetracks in eligible states. Access to online accounts is protected via a unique user ID and password. March 9

Online Check Request
Online Check Request was provided as a free enhancement to HB Account Access subscribers. It gives horsemen the option to enter check requests via the Internet. January 17

RTO Racing

Maintenance Menu
The Horse and Horsemen Maintenance scanners were enhanced to allow for easier retrieval of horses and horsemen. Features include searching for horses by trainer, as well as horses with foal certificates on file, horses on-site, or horses that have started or worked at your track during the last year.

To facilitate jockey maintenance, a new Jockey Colony screen was added to the RTO Horsemen Maintenance Menu. This screen maintains a jockey colony consisting of all jockeys that have raced at the track or association. When taking an entry, if you go directly into the jockey sc anner it will default to a list of jockeys on site in your jockey colony. In addition, a new Jockey Colony checkbox was added to the Jockey Horsemen Maintenance screen and indicates whether a jockey is part of the Jockey Colony. December 17

Trainer In-Today
A new Trainer In-Today sheet was developed. It displays trainers alphabetically with each of their horses listed underneath the trainer’s name along with the race number and post position. This provides a convenient way to look up horses by trainer. November 29

Ship In/Out Menu
The Ship In/Out menu has been enhanced to allow updates to a horse's Pedigree, Coggins Date and Foal Certificate information. This will help streamline checking trainers in or out. Systems can be configured so that the information on the horse screen can be edited and will update Horse Maintenance.

The horse records screen has been enhanced to display pedigree information, and the Shipped Transaction Listing Report has been enhanced to display the horse’s breed type. November 7
